Summary: God, through Hosea, tells the northern kingdom of their demise in many forms. No one will be spared; empty sacrifice will not help; Israel will be warned about this; and they will be oppressed, crushed, suffering, and torn apart.
Response: Super peppy, I know. But it's the last verse I can relate with, that only after all that does Israel earnestly seek God. My problem is often less that I do evil so much that I callous myself off from feeling anything, including God. I should know by now, that's not the life God has in store for me or anyone.
