Summary: Through Hosea, God, accuses Israel (the northern kingdom) of many sins, from violence and idolatry to prostitution and adultery, and promises punishment for it.
Response: A big tangent here, God sees fit to specifically call out the men and not condemn women. These would be the specific women who commit adultery and prostitution, and God says He will not punish them, instead threatening the men in their lives. I like that this runs contrary to conventional thought on God and the church's views on women. Even the common "blame it on Eve" jokes must be super hurtful, and God knows that. He did not make women to be subjugated, to be pushed down or inferior. I felt like I needed to say that.
